Would this soil be ok for an outdoor Russian enclosure? I have a few bags left over from a garden project I’d like to hopefully use to fill my russians enclosure more!
Well the temps are looking great for the enclosure! I’ve monitored them for the past couple days and everything seems ideal! Meet our new little female Russian! We still haven’t named her yet but she loves her enclosure so far! (She’s was a little shy at first)
Thank you for the thermometer recommendation! I will have to order one from amazon! And that does make a lot of sense, having to acclimate the tort to outdoor living will be something I do! The last Russian tort I had was an indoor only tort, so this will be a little new! And I plan on only...
Hello all! I recently built this 6’ x 6’ enclosure in my backyard, and have a few questions/concerns. My first and main issue is temperature. I live in southern Colorado Springs, where this time of year we usually see day time temps near the mid 80s and 90s but night time temps in the low 60s...
Hello everybody! Ive been a long time member but haven't been active in about 7 or so years... but I'm happy to be back and learning again! Recently, my wife and I bought a house, in which I now have a backyard for a proper enclosure build! I'm excited to see what's new!
Hello again! Haven't been on here in about 7 years or so...But does anyone in CO, specifically near the Springs area, have any Russians or Red Foots available? Im trying to avoid shipping if at all possible...
Thank you!
No worries! (Just find a different vet...) I would care for a sully the same way as a leopard. You lucked out.. I go through a garbage bag of food a week with my two!
Make sure the scale is correct. Check it by weighing a penny minted after 1982, it should say 2.5g. If the penny is older and minted before 1982, it should say 3.11g
Just a tip I picked up when I bought a scale for my Leopard gecko.
Not sure where that recommendation was stated, but whether or not they are inside or outside, they can still have a possible chance at getting worms.
If you are concerned about them having worms, take them to a vet WITH a fecal. Unless they have already been to the vet, otherwise, they will...
You must have a vet recommend a dose, NEVER self dose please... Please do not deworm them if they do not show signs of worms. Worming just because can cause harm and it is not an easy drug for a tort to be on.
