Where the dirt is, is where I Plan to plant the weed seeds. Looking for a 2nd pool to add on a water place and more plants / shade areas. Will cut a hole in side of each and ramp then together. Getting chicken wire for the top to keep birds out.

At what size can I stop worrying about the pterodactyls around here trying to make off with my tortoise? We have all kinds of large predator birds here in the mountains. Also what other predators do I need to be concerned about when making my outdoor enclosure?
I switched to a terra cotta plant water bowl and all seemed fine day 1 and 2 but today all the water is gone and the substrate is soaked. It seems to have seeped through the saucer. I added more water but my question is, wont that get the substrate TOO wet?
