Quail. A hardy species? I think so.

It’s a Citronella. It does well in the desert and so far nothing eats it insects or animal. I could use more ant control!!

Quail. A hardy species? I think so.

Noticed a quail run out of a very large pot in my garden. And found this https://youtube.com/shorts/wL0aIhfBnvQ?feature=share Found a nest maybe 2 weeks ago in our haystack, they did not make it because they were damaged by hay bale moving... damn it. Curious to see where the mom takes the...

Why do so many folks make enclosures so barren???

These are great. After reading yours and Toms posts about the Rose of Sharon and Lavatera I got some rose mallow seeds. I germinated a few indoors last year but they were not strong and died when I put them outside - fail. Then I made a cinder block garden bed inside koopas enclosure for shade...

Exactly. I had a time consuming and strenuous water for her before using a cut stock tank and bricks inside for traction. It was darker and in a corner of cinder block wall - she loved this but outgrew it. Instead of the concrete permanent feature I opted to dig a small pool shape and put a...

Omg!!!! I love this! That is exactly what I wanted to do for Koopas water! But I was too afraid of first time concrete pouring and getting stuck with a concrete hole that was too small or just not right 😔

My tortoise is constantly violent, help please?

See this happen the most with Hermans and Russians because they are small. This leads to thinking a small enclosure is fine and house roaming for added exercise. @JoesMum is dead on. Your babies will do fine when their husbandry is changed a bit.

I also tried an experiment... last year (cannot remember the month but it was probably Novemberish) I knocked a cactus pad off by accident and tossed it in one of my flower beds (its a bathtub 😂) Just watered it along side the rosemary in there. It shriveled up to very thin and a pale color...
