Rehabbing orphaned 6 week old groundhog- pinworms need advice

Yeah I read it would need more then one treatment due to the life cycle of the worms. I’ll be sure to retreat in 14 days. Thanks again! Everyone thinks I’m insane for taking this on but he was the most pathetic thing I’ve ever seen and was hypothermic when I found him. Not in my nature to ignore.

Rehabbing orphaned 6 week old groundhog- pinworms need advice

I know! I can find millions of articles on poisoning hunting/skinning them then anything regarding care. They are a nuisance animal for humans but an integral part of the eco system. I found an abandoned farm outside of the city that I’ll be releasing him to, I was also considering a state...

Hi all, Hope everyone is doing well through this pandemic. I found an orphaned, malnourished groundhog a week ago that I have been nursing back to health to release him in a few weeks. I have experience with kittens and birds but not much with small mammals. Due to the pandemic I can’t get a...

    Virus supplies worldwide comparison

Philly is pretty crazy, they are shutting down the schools for 2 weeks. They are doing a mandatory containment in the county next to us. I take public transportation and god forbid you sneeze or clear your throat people will give you the nastiest looks. Take care of yourselves, families and...

Please Dont let this tort suffer

Sounds like the best thing for this tort is to be rehomed. Being responsible pet owners calls for tough decisions sometimes, we need to be the voice for these voiceless creatures. Do the right thing.

I own Russians and made the same uninformed mistake, separate them as soon as possible. They will kill each other eventually.

How to stop dog marking house plant?

In this situation it may be best to repot the plant with new soil and a new pot. I would also spray the plant down as you never know the leaves may have remnants of being marked before. Dogs noses are so sensitive so this may be the best option for you. You could also use enzymatic cleanser such...

    Change of Substrate

Yeah I think you are right I am not adding enough water to it, my substrate is about 6-7 inches deep my girls love to dig. I am going to try soaking it in a bucket as suggested by Maro2Bear to see if I can extend the life of what I have but I am going to ultimately make the switch. I'll be sure...

    Change of Substrate

Thanks for your response, given what you have said I am definitely not soaking the mulch as much as I should to keep it from getting dusty. I carefully put a liter of water where they like to dig in for the night and don't usually soak the entire table. My table isn't lined to I have to do it...

    Change of Substrate

Thanks for your input I appreciate it! Given your response I don't think I am adequately hydrating the cypress mulch to begin with which is probably why it is soo dry I do pretty much have my mind made up making the switch though. I'll let you know if I find anything cheaper. Thanks again!
