    We have had our tortoise (Hermann) ? around 6 weeks. She isn't very active.. not eating 2 bits and sleeps all the time. We are worried there's something wrong. Is there something we are not doing.. etc.
    We lost a 13 year old tortoise last year .. he didn't come out of hibernation.. which was so sad .. we don't want anything to happen to this baby xx

    Liannep I have a feeling your tortoise is lacking in vitamins this happend to my tortoise and the same symptoms as yours did we tried vitamins and instently became more active

    If your tortoise has a good diet then he shouldn't need any additional vitamins, just a small pinch of calcium and something like Nutrabal a couple of times a week. Too many vitamins can do more harm than good and vets will often offer injections but these are not recommended unless they have done done blood work and know for sure there is a deficiency,
