Fruit is not good for them. I wouldn't feed any ever. Its not that it is going to kill them if they touch one grape, its just that there are better things that they should be eating, and the high sugar content of fruit can disturb their gut fora and fauna in a bad way.

Hi again, thank you, I did give him two small bites of apple with no skin and no seeds (never feed our parrots the seeds either. Glad I got your comment on no fruit, I was going to give him the mango in pieces. There were no hibiscus blossoms today.

Basically he got endive, 1 3 inche piece of celery cut in two length wise, 1/2 plum tomato without skin, 1 slice of zucchini, and another green that's listed as safe. The endive and other one were 1 leaf of each, into like 5 pieces each. I sound like a bad mother But the rest he gets from wandering the yard all day.

And I gave him two spritzy baths from the hose today (like mist) each about 5 minutes

Hose baths are good in hot weather. Everything you are feeding does not sound great to me. Endive is okay if you don't have anything better. But "The rest he gets from wandering the yard all day." sounds perfect. Weeds and grass are the best thing for them.

Hi Tom, thanks for answering. Just got on now. Last evening, Humphrey was bubbling at the mouth, PANIC! Oh, and he makes noises! He has made noises before but lately seems like more.

I read bubbling mouth (not nose) can be overheating, more baths in his future, thought FL would be ideal with warm temps and high humidity. Googled the noise and it sounds just like him, could it be he is getting used to us and letting us know if we come to close to his den area?

Can I put him a pan of water for a bit and splash water over him? If it was me, I would appreciate it at least twice a day right now, it's miserable for people, but I don't want to overdo it for Humphrey.

PS temp was 80 when I went out about 430 this morning, weather people said 78 for here.
