My parents have a good sized back yard. Im thinking of purchasing an adult sulcata. I have a spare room behind the garage that can be converted for him/her.

What is the price range for and Adult male/female?

Hi Fernando:

Please contact some of the different chapters of the California Turtle and Tortoise Club in SoCal. They almost always have sulcatas looking for homes. They might not be the prettiest tortoises, but looks aren't everything. You don't have to be a member to adopt.

Often you can find males for free. Females, if you can even find one available, will usually run several hundred dollars.
