This is the Madagascar tree that lives in the house that Will built:

and this is the bloom that's on the Madasgar tree that lives in the house that Will Built:

Who knew that this type tree bloomed. Have had one or more of these in pots for years and never saw a bloom. But a few years ago I decided to plant one of them in the ground in the greenhouse. I guess it likes it in there!

I’ve never seen a tree like that. I love it and the green house is awesome.

I think you will need a bigger greenhouse or in a few years its gonna go all Willy Wonka! Yvonne doing it quietly like a Rockstar!

Are these trees found in the same area as radiata in the wild? Do they eat the flowers?

I'm not surprised it needed higher humidity in a greenhouse. I forget where I read it, but some areas of Madagascar can get 100+ inches of rain per year on average.

Yes, they are. When you see nature shows for Madagascar they always show lemurs climbing these trees. I've always wondered how they manage climbing without injury to their feet. The spikes on the trunk are lethal! I think it's called Pachepodium lamerii. (spelling??)
