it's the third one furthest away.
I can't tell what scute you are referring to. Are you talking about the costal or vertebral 3rd scute? A full size image in the proper orientation would help.

The only thing I think I can see from what you describe is the 3rd right costal?? The area of the rear of the 3rd costals and front of the 4th costals is one area that a lack of enough calcium/Vit D3 / Magnesium can start the very beginning of metabolic bone disease. The stress from the underlying attachment of the hip girdle/rear leg ligaments will cause that area to sink a bit with poor bone development.

Not sure at all if that is what we see here though...

Yea thats the area i am talking about, I am going to the vet tomorow to see what they say. I am currently giving him calci dust once a week and nutrobal once a week but i recently found out that supplementationdoes does not have enough minerals in it so i have ordered som miner-all to give but it has not arrived yet
Heres a pic

Now that i took the pic it actually looks more like it's the rings around it thats higher and not the scute thats lower.

You are aware that calcium doesn't work by itself, right? It requires UVB either from the sun or a GOOD UVB light.

Your tortoise actually looks really good. Ensure that there is enough calcium and D3 and/or sunlight/UVB exposure.

IF going to the vet, don't let them give a vitamin injections. If they do a blood test, just have them check blood calcium levels to be sure.

Well thats a relief thank you. I think i am going to start supplememnting 3 times a week until the miner-all arrives since the diet he gets now during the cold months is not as good as the diet he got during the summer which is when i started with the supplementation i am doing currently

I try to add some really high calcium foods for young tortoises. Thinly sliced cactus pad strips. Clover. I don't know if Will (@Kapidolo Farms ) is shipping to Europe, but his dried goods are indefensible this time of year. Sprinkle dried plantain or moringa on the day's mix, etc.

Shipping outside the US requires your shopping list and full postal address. I will then quote the cost. Customs/Vat/import tax is on the buyer. Slightly longer process. If you accept the quote, then I'll send a PayPal invoice, once paid I'll ship. I have prefers to use UPS, as then it's a single carrier handling the package. FedEx gets too crazy with forms to complete, and USPS hands the package over to your domestic carrier, and that transition can be very problematic. I'm open to suggestions on this.

I've shipped to India, England, South Africa, and Canada.
