Ok so I’ve had a few reptiles in my short lifetime including a snake and a gecko that both * clears throat* ran away ( well one slithered) although the snake is not my fault... now I have another snake ( that’s tank had secure clamps and weights on it) and Archie my Russian tortoise. Today I went to take the walnut with the shell that I put in his table that you crack with a Christmas nutcracker or whatever ( I don’t know what I thought he’d do with it , roll it around ? Idk) and he followed it and he started climbing all over my hand , I was like awwww but I didn’t know what to do if he wanted a soak or to get out of his table or what, so he climbed off my hand and went over to his food plate and like, bit invisible spring mix and so I grabbed him some food and he happily munched away. THAT IS THE FREAKING SMARTEST THING I HAVE EVER SEEN OUTA A REPTILE LIKE EVER!!!!!! It was AMAZING!! I thought his brain was like the size of a pea he’s probably smarter than half my pets which include him a bunch( and I mean a bunch) of fish 3 dogs ( one who tried to eat a brick when he was younger) snails, my blue eyed Lucy ball python and until recently a hamster RIP) so ya just wanted to share this amazing thing with y’all !!?

This is so funny and true. They are so crazy smart! Our Gamera knows that dad will give her 'treats' when he comes home from work. Even if its just to hand feed her greens. It doseny matter when he comes home shes right up and out on top of her log looking for him!

Look up the word "anthropomorphism". Stand in front of a mirror while you read, and re-read, the definition.
