My bigger kleinmanni has not been eating for about 1 week. Before then he was eating quite a lot but now he is losing weight which concerns me:

16th March - 99g
24th March - 108g
5th April - 98g
12th April - 102g
3rd May - 93g

I have been feeding him RepCal, various fresh vegetables available here locally in Indonesia. Since he hasn't eaten, I have bought and tried Mazuri and a local brand called GT Freek. I have also tried feeding wild flowers from nearby "bushes" and fresh cut grass and also bought Hays (pictured in the old house). I have been trying to feed him Oxbow Critical Care but he won't open his mouth.

He seems to be sleeping most of the time and he does walk around when I wake him or move him to my balcony for some sun.

Just today I have gotten him a new housing so it shouldn't be because of the housing issue. Please give feedbacks on how to improve the new housing. The decorations are not finished yet since I need to do it step by step due to the limited availability of some items. His old house is a simple box (handover from another tortoise owner).

Also attached is his poop from a few days ago. I couldn't see any thing disturbing but he used to poop and pass urates almost every day. His last poop was yesterday and urates I think 4 days ago.

Attached are videos of him walking in his old house a few days ago and earlier this afternoon of him walking pass by his food. Photos attached below!

Thank you in advance for any advice and suggestions!

Between 22-28 degrees daily indoor.

Tropical weather outside around 30-34 degrees daytime and 26-30 degrees nighttime.

Here are the vegetables I get for him:

Watch for any worms in the poop as sometimes they can cause it and make sure the nose is dry. If your really worried, go and see a vet as it’s better safe than sorry. A week isn’t really really long to go without food but make sure he’s drinking. If he’s not drinking I’d definitely take him to the vet.

How can I tell if he's drinking? I do give him a bath in warm water almost daily since he's not eating but I can't tell if he's drinking.

I haven't seen any worm on his poop. If there's worm what should I look for in his poop?

His nose is dry. I noticed on his chin, his old skin is peeling. Is this normal?

I don't know anything about Kleinmanni care, but it seems to me that 22-28C isn't warm enough. Also, in his old enclosure, being an open topped enclosure, he really wasn't warm enough. Hopefully with this new one it will work better.

Soak him for a good half hour or more in warm water every day to help get his inner core warmed up. You can place his soaking tub back in the enclosure to keep it warm while he soaks.

Sometimes real sunshine perks them up. Also, do you have a good UVB light while he's indoors?

In the old enclosure I use 2 hanging lamps. I use aircon during the day to help lower the temperature since it's around 26-28 without aircon.

I have been using a few care sheets such as these for the temperature guideline.

The bulbs I use are Exo Terra Solar Glo 80w and Exo Terra Infrared Basking Spot 50W or 100W. I have a night heat bulb as well but I hardly use it.

If his in the bath he might stick his head under the water to drink and the same with a water bowl. If the water bowl is too tall for the tortoise they could drown so just make sure they can’t sit in the water and have their head in when their neck is out straight. Same with the bath. They drink through their nostrils so any time they stick their head under they’re probably drinking.

If they have worms it’s going to look like little bits of white spaghetti. If you want to see It you could look up worms in tortoise poop to know what your looking for.

skin peeling is normal too. They’re just getting rid of their old skin. Bathing will help them come off naturally.

Some updates. He's finally eating 4 days ago but not too much. Maybe just a few bites. Then he didn't eat for 2 days.

Then yesterday afternoon he ate quite a bit but picky on the veggies. And yesterday afternoon was the first time he became more active.

After he ate he slept until today and didn't move at all.

The first 3 photos are from yesterday in his new enclosure.

Last photo was just taken today. Temperature seems a bit high 47-48 degrees at the basking spot, 29-30 degrees elsewhere. Hopefully he doesn't aestivate or I'll have to figure out how to lower the temperature.
