I'm assuming pumpkin is ok for redfoots to eat. I picked up a pumpkin for carving from costco. I wanted to get y'alls opinion on feeding my redfoot the insides of that. Do you think they treat them in any way that could be harmful?

Thanks

I just bought a small pumpkin for my yellowfoot today - planning on using the meat, not the pulp.

My Redfoots love it. I cut it up and boiled it to make it softer for them.

Pumpkin is a safe food to feed (not the seeds or stringy guts, but the rind and bulk of the pumpkin can be fed). Just don't feed too much of it, as it can be a natural laxative for tortoises.
