I have been doing research and preparing for the past few months and I'm finally ready to purchase a baby Sulcata (well, when I can get it delivered on one of my days off). Are there any reputable members that have any baby Sulcatas available? I see that @Tom is a highly recommended breeder but I can't find if he has any available right now. I am located in southern California.

I can give @Lancecham two thumbs up! Our Sully is now 5 years old and going strong. Lance takes great care and gets started and shipped correctly. Lance is in California too, should be easy.

I don't have any more this year unless some ground hatch that I'm not expecting. The three that Todd mentioned are the three I would recommend too.

I had a female lay extremely late clutches this year. As a result I have a few now that just hatched but need a bit more size before I would normally sell. Maybe another 2 weeks. I also have a last clutch due to hatch in about 10 days. Those would normally be about a month before i would sell. I like all my babies to be actively growing with a smooth start, and close to double their hatch weight before selling. IF that timing works, let me know.

I have already messaged Lance and he is my #1 pick right now (he has some available and I like that he lives close to me). Just out of curiosity, did the Sulcata that you purchased from him end up being male or female?

Looking female.

Ok. The few trusted breeders that I have messaged seem to incubate at a temperature that encourages female Sulcata development. I do have a slight preference for a male Sulcata since I have read that they tend to be more outgoing, but to me, part of the fun is watching an animal grow up from being small to big so getting a hatchling is more important than knowing the gender to me (getting an older sexed Sulcata).
