So far he is the only one to hatch. He is doing great. Not out if his egg yet, I didn't figure he would be. He is doing perfectly I've seen his eyeballs so I'm no longer worried. He keeps flipping his egg over, little dork.. [emoji849][emoji16] By the way I have thought of a name... Drumroll......

He flipped his egg over onto his back and I went and did a little look-see at his belly since he has his egg almost completely shredded. His yolk sac is the size of a pea! He's almost done! So proud of my little hubba hubba [emoji6] just thought of that little nickname lol.

He came out. Just went to check again and show my nephew he was starting to hatch and he was out cruising around his little bowl. Omg can't believe he did it all so fast. His belly looks great yolk is about the size of a pea. But he's cruising around on damp paper towels. [emoji7] Better pictures soon!IMG_20190908_135633075.jpeg

Okay had to, last pic for today. He keeps flipping himself over.. I keep trying to prop him up on paper towels but he's determined to go go go. Gonna put him in a bigger container so he doesn't flip over as much poor guy. View attachment 280210
Congratations on your first hatchling box turtle! Are the other eggs progressing at all? Any holes or slits in the shells? Movement?

Thank you very much it was a very cool experience. I had the warmest feeling watching him hatch [emoji846] as to the other eggs, 2 I'm questioning viability. They look funky inside. But a few times I have thought I have seen movement so I'm just letting them sit, and the other three I can see babies moving around inside, eggs still seem to be denting, the one who hatched came out of the worst dented egg in the incubator. Hoping they all hatch
