Otis is completely back to his old self. I am so happy to know it wasn’t something I did or didn’t do. He’s a big healthy boy.

I am so happy to report he is definitely better today. His eyes were much more alert. not watery, and he was awake early. I didn't wait for him to come out on his own. I pulled him out of his house and soaked him for 30 minutes without much protest from him. He ate mulberry leaves and released a lot of gas in his bath. He then proceeded to walk a little and eat almost his usual amount of pellets and leaves. The temp today is 85 F at 10 in the morning and expected to be near 100. He seems to like those temps. Happy Momma today.
I try not to forget that some days I just don’t feel good. I’m not sick, just feel crappy. if I didn’t have to go to work, I’d stay in my “burrow” all day too!I think sometimes I expect animals to act like robots, if their behaviour changes I get worried. It could be sleeping more or routine changes. They just have lazy days sometimes, I have to keep reminding myself that
Thank you. I am in Pflugerville so the recommendation of a good vet in Georgetown is welcome. I have not yet needed one but had the name and address for one in North Austin that I know nothing about. I will gladly take your recommendation. Thank you.Hi Brenda. I am not sure where you live in Central TX, but I live in Burnet. I wanted you to know that in Georgetown, we are fortunate to have a reptile vet at ZOOT animal hospital on Hwy 29. His name is Dr Zeh and I take Tucker and Tillman to see him for annual checkups and for the occasional health concern. The facility, the staff and Dr Zeh are top notch. Just wanted you to know in case you live close by and might ever need a vet for your Tort.
