I took my greek tortoise outside for the first time, i don’t really know how old he is I am guessing about 6 weeks old (he is a little bigger than a ping pong ball)

he let me hold him and pet him without hiding, and he walked in the grass for 30 minutes, he climbed over my hands and feet for fun.

I also let him walk around in my room, then fed him. I just want to know if he may be scared, since he is a baby. He really didn’t seem to mind but you never know.

Thanks,
Scooter the baby greek tortoise :)

Being that tiny, you will wanna be careful not to lose him!!!
Handling isn't bad as long as he keeps growing and eating!

But one time my sister played with a chicken so much that it stressed it into not growing. Once we stopped played with the chick it grew into a beautiful adult, same size as his brother.

So if you stop seeing growth, then stop handling.

But do not allow him to roam around your room!!!!

I only handle my babies when I soak them. Otherwise they are safe and secure in their enclosures with a camera that allows me to check in on them with my phone at any time and bother them only when necessary.

Thank you so much!!! I researched for months but only got him a few days ago, and I tend to be very paranoid to make sure he is okay
He ate all his food today and seemed fine so i think he is okay,
thank you for helping me!!
I will try to leave him alone more often, he is just too cute!!

Thanks,

Scooter
