Hello there, I am pretty new here. My name is Lexi and we live in Minnesota. I have always been a lurker not a conversationalist. But we all share the same love, turtles, tortises, chelonians. I am 20 years old I am happily married to my husband Mark jr. And we have 2 beautiful children together. One of which had his 3rd birthday yesterday. I have one turtle as of now, he is a common snapper and his name is Elvis. He is a year old and is currently still very tiny.. he has been hatchling size for a year now this last week or so he has started to grow. I will attach a picture of him. I have some turtle eggs as well from a box turtle and they are 66 days into incubation and I believe are preparing to meet us soon [emoji846] I was hoping one of the babies would've hatched yesterday for my son's birthday. Not sure how the introduction was suppose to be done but there we go [emoji846] hoping to meet all of you sooner or later on here.

PS: for some reason it will not allow me to add a picture right now.. I will post one later of Elvis. If I don't remind me[emoji846] quite forgetful sometimes.

Welcome to TFO!

I live with a Redfoot and a Russian in New Hampshire, and have loved learning about keeping them from the knowledgeable people here.

Thank you very much. Everyone is so inviting here. I have been reading on the Russians. I have been thinking about getting one myself. Just want a sturdy one as I have children lol

Russians are very hardy and my Ralph had spent a winter outside in Minnesota when his previous owners couldn’t find him in the fall. He is doing awesome now! Look at rescues. I have found them to generally be healthier than wild collected sold ones are.
Good luck with the box turtles! I love mine!

Welcome to the Forum, Lexi. I've removed your last name from your post. I think it's better that way. Of course, if you want me to put it back, I will.
