I am planning to get a russian tortoise and I was just wondering if what I have is big enough for one of them. I have a plastic storage container that is 1.5 foot by 6 feet. I am wondering whether it is too narrow for the tortoise to enjoy or not. Thank you!

Ok for a baby and young one I would say not big enough for an adult

Russian tortoises require a minimum enclosure size of 8x4 feet as an adult, so it would only work for a hatchling or juvenile.

I agree.
Except that most store bought Russians are small, fully grown adults.
Although they are quite small compared to most tortoises, they are also VERY active and full of energy.
Also....DON'T BUY A PAIR OF THEM.;)
