Would anyone be interested in taking in a 6 month old stinkpot with 3 legs? I’d rescued him as a hatchling and posted a few threads about him on here. He is healthy and growing and im not sure how long i’ll be able to keep caring for him/her (no idea on the sex) Location: Denham Springs, LA.

The two people who come to mind, I'm not sure would be ready or willing to take on another turtle right now.

@Moozillion is in Louisiana. She recently had to say farewell to Jacques, so it might be too soon. She may have some thoughts or suggestions for you and Gimpy.

@Ray--Opo also came to mind. He lives in Florida, but I think he may have his hands full right now. He hasn't been on the forum for a little while.

I wish you good luck, though. You've done a great job with Gimpy... Are you sure you don't want to continue?

Thank you for the suggestions! I believe moozillion was one of the first ones to consider taking him in in the beginning. If she’d like to have him i would trust him to her.
Its not that i dont want to continue, its that a few things have come up in my life and im afraid he will end up improperly cared for when i have to move out soon. Plus im worried that im not providing him absolutely everything he needs. A new home would be best for him, ill be keeping him until i find one.

Thank you for thinking so well of me.:<3:
Having had to euthanize Jacques after 1 and 1/2 years of battling health problems, I'm currently just not up to taking a special needs animal, even if they are healthy and vigorous.
I really hope you can find a good home for him that you feel good about. :<3::<3::<3:

I would love to take the turtle but just backed out of another tort because of health reasons.
Thanks Pastel Tortie for thinking about me.

I have reconsidered my decision, and am interested in adopting Gimpy.
If anyone hears from the OP, PLEASE let her know![emoji2]
Hm-m-m-m. . . I wonder how you say "Jill" in French (Jacques and Jill???).

As a moderator I have access to the email people put on their hidden profiles. I'll send her an email letting her know of your interest.

In the meantime, let's try this: @GimpyCutie

SO HAPPY to hear about the contact and connections! Bold and Pinstripe think that Gimpy will have a great new home... and they're sure that Nelson will be thrilled to move into the BIG tank! :D

We're all excited too!
I'm thinking of changing Gimpy's name, but not sure what to change it to.

Although I like Yvonne's suggestion of Jill, my husband's younger sister is named Jill, which could make for some interesting conversations:
Me: "Jill really enjoyed the earthworm I gave her- she gobbled it right up!" Or...
Me: "I'm not sure if Jill needs to get checked for parasites or not..." [emoji2]
