My daughter brought home a turtle 4 days ago and he escaped and was lost in my house for 4 days. I just found him, he’s the size of a half dollar and scared to death. I sat him in a shallow pan of water (doesn’t even touch the bottom of his shell) because I don’t know if he’s a water turtle or not. 68E43830-546A-47F9-BD6A-3CF594C8761B.jpeg In the pan I put some watermelon and broccoli (really all I had fresh) and some random turtle pellets from the last time she brought home a turtle. He’s so tiny, I’d love to keep him but I’m mostly concerned about dehydration with him being lost for 4 days. Can anyone identify him and tell me what to do? 631D44B8-2939-4BFD-B809-3E9BAE6232CE.jpegF0FC8E11-0321-4C0F-A8B5-4E4E631A885C.jpeg

Looks like a mid turtle to me too. Can you get some better pics though?

I agree - a mud, or water turtle. You can make the water deeper.
