Hey there welcome to the forum. Here's what I would do. Ditch that water dish. It's a flipping hazard and if he lands upside down in the water that's trouble. It's also too big and taking up a lot of his floor space. Get a small terracotta saucer and bury it down level in the substrate. Definitely get your baby a hide. It will make him more secure. Provide a lot of hiding places and things to diffuse the light a little, fake/real plants etc. Covering the enclosure with either Tin foil or some kind of tent would be much easier to hold the temperature and humidity you need. Here's how I have my hatchling Redfoot setup, it's a plastic tote about the same size as your tank might give you some ideas.IMG_20190619_215126253.jpg

I would also use a terra cotta dish for the water. To help prevent flipping and drowning.

What do you use as your bedding.. I hate the stuff I have. It leaves a huge mess in the water and all over him..

It's a few inches of organic topsoil, covered with a layer of orchid bark.
