Hello everyone, I am Wolf of WolfandTort the lil guy is Edgar Ive had him for about 2 weeks. He is a Russian Tortoise. He was a birthday gift from my wife. I have always loved and adored animals and I also have researched tortoises for years even as a little kid they were so awesome to me and just so much about them that interested me. So here we are hoping to learn from everyone and also make friends.

Thank you all for the kind words, unfortunately Edgar passed away. I had taken him to the vet for the first checkup and they informed me he was malnourished and a week after of trying to get him to eat drink and even syringe he passed. I hadn't been a member when I purchased him wish I would have so I would have known trust worthy people. I have been speaking to Arizona Tortoise Compound after reading the section on trust worthy areas. So soon I hope to be able to take lots of photos for you all and thank you for the kind words I am sorry I had to bring this bad news.

Right now it would be either Russian still or a Hermanns I have been talking to ATC alot over their captives and from all the forums I have read here they are trust worthy.

So today I spoke with Andrew with ATC and have ordered a Russian Hatchling I am going to name them Thorn.
Congratulations! "Thorn" is unusual...where did that name come from?
If you don't mind telling me...I promise I'll keep it a secret [emoji6]

Well my favorite flower is a Rose Thorn bush from childhood memories working in my grandmothers garden. So I thought Thorn would make a unique yet cute name for a little tortoise.

So Thorn is here and healthy and active and eating already, Thorn did the 25 minute soak when it arrived. Don't worry I am adding photos and I took out the half bark hide it was a little big and a flipping hazard but we had a home made hide handy and so far he is doing amazing so full of energy and doesnt sit still. I also went in and fixed the tape so no worries on that. Only thing now is probably gonna need bigger planters Thorn will not leave them alone haha.
