I think you're trying to start a "conversation" or private message. To write a thread, go to the subject you want to talk about. . . let's say "Enclosures" . So, click on Enclosures. Then in the upper right corner of the screen look for "post new thread." When you click on that, you get a new thread format and you just fill in the blanks. Write a title, then carry on.
