For those of you who remember I ordered Skurt's AP cage back in May of this year. It took me nearly a month to figure out how I wanted everything and Ali from AP cages was beyond helpful and patient. I was supposed to get my cage in August, but my RHP's were delayed from Pro Heat. Then in September I was told October......then then then......let's just say they're extremely busy over there. Finally last week I got the email they were almost done and yesterday my shipping confirmation. First let me tell you I love their shipping notifications. They set them up so all tracking updates go to your email and cell phone via texts. It looks like it will be in Baltimore on the 31st so I'm wondering if they will hold it until after the new year to actually deliver, but I am told they call ahead and set up a date and time so you can plan ahead. Needless to say I am stocked!! http://www.estes-express.com/WebApp/ShipmentTracking/?search_criteria=1379008056

Now anyone have a good way to cut rubber made tubs for hides? I have everything sitting in my living room waiting and am afraid I'll crack them using a razor blade or knife. How do you guys cut the doors in without damaging the tub?

How exciting!

Try a strong pair of scissors or snips. I've used something similar to this in the past, and it turned out well.

If you take a knife and heat the tip up with like with a blow torch or gas burner. Once it's good and hot it will cut right through the Rubbermaid plastic like butter.

I want those scissors, but am going to try the hot knife method. I'm afraid due to the rigidity of the plastic scissors will crack the rubbermaid. Probably wouldn't actually matter if it cracked but it would irk me, lol.

Just don't heat up a knife that you will want to use for anything else, because you will ruin the temper of the blade. (basically it make the steel soft and it will not hold an edge well)

I'd go with the tin snips. You will find countless uses for them with other things as well.
