Follow the advice of experienced long term members of this forum like @Tom

If your tortoise is young then high humidity and steady warmth is the way to go

An older tortoise can cope in lower levels of humidity and temperatures can drop a little at night
thanks thats what i thought.

Green leaf, arugula, radicchio, and others are fine. I have the same issue since our store took all the lettuce.

I hope your little Pebbles is still doing splendidly! I'm brand new to this site tonight and your story made me so happy --a pick-me-up I desperately needed! (My little Russian, Morla, is very ill--currently "hospitalized" at the Vet's w/ possible kidney disease. I've been crying on and off all day.)

Isn't it amazing how much we can love these little guys? ❤❤❤ (I've only had her 1.5 months and I love her dearly!!! She is a rescue adoptee, est about 10 yrs old.)

My best to your little guy and much, much love!

It is truly amazing how much love we have for our very special tortoises, i know your tortoise will get better, never loose hope. Pebbles is doing great he/she is not really growing much so he/she could be stunted because if she had HFS, but you know i am trying to stay positive and i know pebbles is positive he has girlfriend called food :D he is so in love with food, he has a really great spirit. i have a three toad box turtle that is a rescue and she used to be kind of lethargic and not energetic then she was like a different turtle and was up from morning to night always jumping in and out of her water dish loved worms and sweet potatoes, now she is very lethargic only gets out of her hide to bask then hides for the rest of the day she will not eat and i have tried every thing. so i really do not know what to do and i am really worried for her health especially because she has said NO to worms (which is like a kid saying no to candy, you know something is up). and i made a thread about her and no one has replied:( so she currently has not eaten for one week. i am wishing you and Morla the best of luck keep me posted on how she is doing, i know she will get better!!
