Again, Happy Birthday. Continue learning. You are doing so well. I hope you do as good in school!

Thank you so much! I may or may not spend most of my class time on tortoise forum, so not sure if I’m doing as well... ;)
But hey, if I have to write an essay on tortoises, I’m all set!

I've noticed more younger TFO members lately. @TechnoCheese may have started a trend. @Ben02 is similar age. I think @Tortoise Police may be one of our youngest members.

Just don't feel too pressured or self-conscious when some of our members with a bit more life experience start hinting (or outright asking) about your life plans. ;)

Turtles and tortoises are a long term commitment, and many will outlive their human keepers. Those human keepers want to make sure their turtles and tortoises receive the best possible care after they're gone. Some may not have family and friends in a good position to take on the care of their turtles and tortoises.

That's where you guys may come in, a few years down the road. @Tortoise Police is here, learning everything she can, even though she doesn't even have a tortoise yet. Twenty years from now, she might be taking over the reigns of a major breeding program and conservation organization. Any of you could.
