You'll need to start feeding him wetter foods. What do you feed him? Try including some watermelon or cucumber. A long soak in a very large tub usually gets things moving. When I say a large tub, I mean something the size of a human bath tub. The water should come up to the middle of his sides, and leave him in there to scramble around for a good half hour, maybe even longer.

I second Yvonne's post. A nice long soak in a large area usually does the trick. The watery foods will help too.

My Indu has a bath every day. I soak him for at least 45 min at a time. And he poops every day. So the soaking is really important. Are you soaking your Star daily? What do you feed him?

Would you recommend above the plastaron? I usually keep it low up to about there because I eorry about drowning or pnemonia.

Water for soaks should be deep enough to just come up over the join between the plastron (undershell) and shell.

Use a large flat bottomed bowl like a washing up bowl. The larger volume of water cools more slowly and your tort marching round it will help it to poop.

Serve all food wet. Rinse greens under the tap. That way even more water is taken on board by your tort
