We bought a cypress blend of mulch today and was wondering if it is okay to use for my tortoises. It doesn’t smell like pine or cedar.

I read somewhere that it was safe, and when I told everyone I was using cypress mulch, no one told me it was wrong! So I think you are good!!

What brand mulch do you use
I buy it at ace hardware and it is the ace hardware brand of cypress blend mulch.
I actually rinsed mine first to remove the dust. Recently used 2 bags for my tortoises new home.

Oh we bought the no float beand
Greetings..
I used Home Depot cypress mulch along with coco coir and peat moss mixture in our Sullys indoor enclosure. No problems.
That said, I’m wondering what they coat the “no float” mulch with? Id check the ingredients out closely before using. OR, just get regular cypress mulch.

It’s just regular mulch no coating and do you use a cypress blend or just normal 100% cypress
