Thank you. She most certainly loves her cactus pads! I won’t worry about leaving pads laying around for them like you have.

Funny thing is, my yearling never seemed to enjoy pads. He would take a bite and that would be it. After seeing Sally chowing down on the pads, he immediately started to love them as well. It’s so odd, literally in an instant he started to love them too!

~ That is good, my guess is the younger one probably has not had cactus as part of the diet. We feel very strongly about giving cactus (chopped up) to them as a new hatchling, they get a taste for it and it sets a good foundation for the future.

Do you grow starfruit Greg? Is this fruit ok for aldabra?

I mean of course it’s ok for aldabra. If it’s not ok you wouldn’t have fed them these. I meant to ask if these starfruit actually good for aldabra.. low sugar and high water content, it sounds perfect!
