Hello, I have recently become the owner of two wonderful marginata lil´ tortoises: Tae and Clyde. I have loved tortoises all my life, and am very happy to finally own two! I´m not very experienced, so I hope I can count on all of your advice. Thank you! I´m presently building them an outdoor enclosure, but for now I have a small one to accomodate them. I´m still adding to it. Any advice is very much appreciated!upload_2018-1-8_16-19-58.png

Welcome! Just wanted to add that you might wanna think about separating, tortoises are generally solitary creature and expert mental bullies even if they’ve lived together forever.

Is it fine if they act like the other doesn´t exist? They sleep separately, and when basking they don´t pay any attention to each other whatsoever. I also soak them separately. If necessary, I´d separate them. Anything I need to look out for?

Hello and welcome to the Tortoise Forum.

Not real familiar with the specific breed of tortoise you have but they do look nice.

A sign of tort aggression can be head bobbing at the other tortoise. Do all types of torts do this ... not positive. A head bob doesn't sound too scary but finding your other tortoise upside down is. One does not want to learn they suddenly don't get along by finding an upside down tortoise.

Thanks for including pictures ! Happy torting.
