I have 2 adult female RES that for the last few years have lived in a pond I dug. When egg-laying time came, they crawled out and found a spot for their nest. Now, however, I have to move, and their home will be a stock tank. I'm wondering how those of you who keep above-ground "ponds" provide for egg laying.

Can always cut an section out and build a nest box with a ramp to the water. Takes a bit of work and skill, but that's really the only method when using stock tanks.

I was thinking about something like that. I'll let it stew in my creative brain awhile and see what I come up with.

Maybe I could put them on the ground every weekend and let them run around?
