Is my torts beak good enough

Ive seen other posts here about trimming the beaks of their torts and does my torts beak have to be trimmed and if so will i have to go to a vet?

It's like Where's Waldo?! I almost couldn't find the tort! Do you feed him on a slate or rough surface? That usually wears down the beak naturally.

No the turtles beak does not need trimmed, it's only about 6 months old. Feed on some slate and it will be fine. No reason to put stress on a baby turtle that's not needed.

Hey Luis and happy new year! I hope things are going well in your new place. Your box turtles beak is perfect.

Like was said before, get a piece of slate, flat rock, or something else that is hard, and a little rough, to feed on. See what you have around the house or in the yard that would work. It will help keep claws worn down too. Bonus!

A cuttlebone also helps keep beaks in shape and supplies calcium at the same time. I always keep cuttlebone available for my box turtles; some use it, some dont.
