Torts do not need to be entertained. They are solitary animals that do not like/want/need company/entertainment.

Lizards. Bugs. Birds. An occasional cat. Maybe a passing black racer. Pool guy on Tuesdays. They can watch Walking Dead on Sundays if they're good.

I generally soak healthy tortoises for about 15 minutes. It's not set in cement. Go by how long you think he needs it.

I like to give my torts live bugs for entertainment. They also like exploring outside in new areas, and I'll add new decor to their enclosure once in a while for variety.
