Hello, a few months ago our Savannah monitor Chubbs passed away and his massive enclosure has been sitting around empty in the living room. I was thinking of giving tank our leopard an upgrade.

Chubbs passed away while we were on vacation for 3 weeks. We left and he was doing great and returned to him very sick. It is believed our baby sitter was spraying him during he night while his lights were off. We returned to a soaking wet enclosure and a very sick lizard which eventually caused death.

About 2 months I completely bleached and washed the enclosure. Does any one believe this enclosure is safe to use? Tank is 5 going on 6.
Would love any advice on what I can do tonnage the enclosure suitable for use.

Is the enclosure spread out in a horizontal fashion or designed for a climbing creature more on the vertical?

What type of material is the enclosure constructed of? Plastic, glass..wood?

Sorry to hear about your monitor. The enclosure should be safe. Sounds like you cleaned it well. What's your plan for it ?

Sorry about your lizard. The enclosure should be fine as long as it is big enough to house your leopard

The enclosure is wood and is 10ft by 4ft by 4ft.
Very large. I just want to ensure tank would not get sick. I was also worried he might get depressed because he is not in his usual home anymore.
