Substrate for quarantine period

Hello, soon I will be purchasing two 3 year old Leo's. I was thinking or housing them on new paper for the quarantine period so that I could keep an eye on them and ensure they are in good health. Good idea or bad? Any better ideas.

I wouldn't. You can't maintain humidity for them, and I think it would make them unhappy, stressed. Have a fecal done to check for parasites. Not sure what else you would be looking for. I have always just used a regular enclosure.

if they're being purchased from the same breeder or group I don't think a quarantine is necessary

They are coming from someone on kijiji equivalent to Craig'slist. They were captive bred though.
