This is for your hingeback, right? How much depends on how much else you are feeding. When I had a box of this product I used it as an occasional 'topping' for salad - maybe just a dozen or two of the tiny pellets on top of the regular meal.

Living in Malaysia, you should be able to find lots of natural-growing weeds and plants to feed your tortoise. I wouldn't rely on a manufactured product.
Just wanted to try whether she would like it. She has weeds growing in her enclosure and she does it them, also I am feeding mushrooms once a few days.

I use commercial tort pellets as part of my babies' diet (maybe 1/4th to 1/3rd) the other parts are greens with little fresh fruit/veg switching daily. I also rotate the dry food. Every day is different type/different brand. I soak the pellets and most of the time with mash them up and mix with finely chopped green stuff. The babies love it. If it's wet food in those cups you have, just cover up and refrigerate till next day or next feeding (I feed mine 2x day). I recently discovered this Exoterra brand forest tortoise pellets... And have to say they are the least favorite of my babies. Maybe they just need to get used to them

Why not? Pet food has come a long way! They can put together a nutritionally complete product that is impossible to do at home. Have you tested the plant life around your home? What minerals is it deficient in? Are you getting all needed nutrition? It can be hard to say. A well blended commercial diet is likely very complete.

On the other end of the spectrum, unreliable companies may put out a garbage product. Do your research, but definitely consider a quality commercial feed as a staple for your tortoises' diet.
