My name is Abigail, and I'm an Anthropology student (Business minor) from St. Louis, MO.

I currently own only one tortoise, a Russian named Edgar Allen Poe (~2yo). Edgar is the very definition of grumpy and doesn't seem to like anything other than eating, soaking in his water dish, and taking walks outside. He was a petstore purchase (a gift from my brother after my previous RT died). He wasn't in great shape, but he was full of life, and he's been going strong since I got him, with no signs of any ill effects from his petstore days, other than being very skittish about people.

Prior to Edgar, I had a RT named Artyom, who I recieved as a gift from someone who didn't want to care for him any longer and who hadn't been feeding him properly, giving him enough water, or providing him UVB lighting for at least 6 months(he was very small and generally pale). Though he did put on some weight and get a bit of energy back, Arty only lived for about a year after he came to me (though i assume he was young, his previous owner had no idea how old he was).
