Thanks Gillian. In all honesty, he's never actually managed to bite me but he likes to attempt to through the glass. If you hold your finger there he will go mad trying to get at you. Silly little thing he is lol

I would suggest using a yacht varnish to make it water proof or some kind of pond liner (that's what we use). Melamine, however is quite good with regards to humidity, and as it is royals you are keeping there is not much humidity needed at all. In fact, my two royals I keep pretty much...
