Having a big sulcata with a smaller leopard...

I know those consequences must be bad.

Leopard is almost 3 years old and now won't eat. Just runs around...

There are a couple covered hiding places. I'll try to get a pic of it later. This began before he even went out this year for the warmer weather. The activity level spiked indoors when it just started getting warm (maybe in the 60s or so outside, although the inside temp didn't change). I...

It usually loves mazuri. I'll see a couple bites out of it (or maybe footprints), then it's on the move. Always loved spring mix and dandelion. Doesn't touch that either. Tried different types of greens.

I haven't been here for a while, but my leopard will be 3 years hatached August. Always been a fast grower, and the shell is almost 10" long already. Ever since the weather's gotten warmer, it won't eat. It's very active and just wants to walk and walk. I have a large tortoise table inside...

People with outdoor sulcatas and leopards in the Phoenix AZ area...winter housing?

She told me to call them and see if they tell me the same thing about burrowing. They told her even during the day in winter, when the temps are in the 60's and 70's, they'll need a heat lamp. Which may be true in her area. Just trying to find out for sure so she'll be prepared. She was...

People with outdoor sulcatas and leopards in the Phoenix AZ area...winter housing?

It's been a nightmare trying to get my leopard to Arizona. My question is, when it's in the upper 60's to lower 70's during the day during the winter, do they need extra heat? The potential future owner is full of questions which is good. She said she called the Arizona Reptile Society, and...

Long time no see. Just an update...

True. Just wondering, can you take tortoises on a plane? Like a commercial flight? For a couple hundred more bucks I can get a round trip ticket there, help her set it up, and do a little job hunt. Wishful thinking probably but it crossed my mind.

I thought I had everything I needed. Looks like shipping will be delayed until she can take a weekday off work. That gives me time to find the insulated panels. Been doing research today and I heard some people are afraid to use the bag in case the tortoise gets flipped over and can right...

Well, it turns out ship your reptiles.com requires a box with at least 3/4" insulated sheets on all sides (not sure where to get those...SYR shipping supplies are expensive), tortoise has to be in a bag, and it can't be delivered on a Saturday. I'll have to pick a weekday and see if she can be...

Thanks, that's pretty much what I had in mind. Just wanted to make sure.

No I think it's still too young. Just a question about shipping if anyone familiar can give me pointers. I signed up with the "ship your reptiles" site as Team Gomberg recommended. As far as packing goes, I have some reptile shipping heat packs. Where should I put them in the shipping...

Yeah, really healthy and a fast grower. I haven't weighed her in a while but I'd guess she's about 3 pounds now. I'll find out tomorrow. Can't wait to see my cousin post updates on Facebook. haha. She's an animal lover and has been doing research, so I feel like she'll be in good hands.

Hopefully, Neal. I know it's where a lot of African tortoises are bred. Well, tomorrow is the big day. I'm feeling a little sad though. I don't want to give her up. But she'll have a nice enclosed back yard in AZ to romp around in. More than I can provide here. I'm a little worried about...

Thanks, I'll check into it. She wants her delivered on a Saturday so she'll be home all weekend to get things settled in. I warned about keeping the dogs separated. Her dogs are so small I'm not sure how much damage they could do, but I'm sure they could chew her up good if determined. I...

Just wondering if anyone knows the best way to ship her? Who would be the best? I think FedEx delivered her here in 2012. My cousin is excited. I know she'll have a better home there.
