Came home from work yesterday and while in my outdoor enclosure found a little surprise! Had no idea she laid eggs and no idea whether or not more little guys are out there hiding. How many are normally in a clutch? I have 2 males and 4 females in the enclosure and it is quite large.
Can't seem to get a straight answer on this. Can russian tortoises eat the common Pothos Plant that is available for sale in almost any Lowes or Home Depot?

I love how when I enter their enclosure they come running to me. They then get so excited they either climb on my feet or try to take a nibble of my toe! They know a good meal is coming their way at that point.
I'm originally from Chicago so I know exactly what you mean. I never take living here for granted. Great place to raise tortoises! Mine stay out all year long.
I live in Sunny AZ and it has been a warm January. Today temps were in the low 80's. My little guys have been hibernating since mid October and today one of them came out for a peek. Anybody else in AZ noticing their torts coming out this early? Usually they come out mid Feb to early March.
