Super cute! I have a baby RT too, mine is about 4 months old and about the size of a .50 cent piece.
I keep mine in 100% coconut coir and it works well!
Too cold to take her out now, actually it's snowing at the moment, and I don't think Pip would like that...I certainly dont!
I am looking forward to having her out in the spring/summer though!!
I have a russian tortoise, about 4 months old...and I was wondering if I can soak her too much? I do daily soaks for about 20 minutes, and she seems to really like them. She goes to the bathroom almost during every soak, so it keeps her home much cleaner! I just didnt want to "over" soak her!
I thought I would buy Pip a cuttlebone because he doesnt eat her food on the slate tile I put it on, she drags it off of it and then eats it. I thought the cuttlebone would help keep her beak nice and short.
I put the cuttlebone in there a few minutes ago and she is going crazy with it...
Hello. I have read on here, and other places, that people give their russians aloe plants to eat. I just had a question about it....is it the plant itself they eat, or is it the leaves (didnt think the plant had actual leaves)....like the stuff with the goo in it? and the goo is safe for them...

Every morning I dig her out of her hide and soak her. She usually goes to the bathroom while soaking. Then I feed her and she eats for about 20-30 minutes and then sits in her basking...
Well I finally decided on a name. She is such a little thing, and shy so I decided to name her Pipsqueak! I pretty much call her Pip or Pippa...whatever feels right for the moment! I figured that way it will work for a boy or a girl....even though I call her a girl I really dont know!
The...
My night time temps are about 60 degrees. I feed her once a day, and she eats for about 15-20 minutes and then walks away. I have a bag of spring mix for her, collard greens, Kale, and spinach. She gets a variety of that daily.
Lunch time for my little Pipsqueak! Hope the picture shows up here!
I also have another question. I have had Pip for 10 days now, and she eats everyday, and is going to the bathroom while being soaked, but mostly she hides ALL day everyday!
I dig her out everyday for a warm soak and for...
I am stuck on a name! I know there is no way to tell if it is a boy or a girl, but I am a girly girl, so I am going to go with a girl name! I love disney, so a disney name would be good, and I like unique!
Some of the names I was thinking for my new baby are:
Pearl
Fiona
Clover
Ivy...
