Hi Jenna... I also don't keep Marginated tortoises... but these questions are more about basic tortoise care rather than species specific so i am sure i can help you out... Don't worry about the bumps on the plastron they will grow out and be less noticible in time... the splitting is also...

If eaten... its not a case that it is toxic and will immediately kill your tortoise... Oxalis can be eaten in very small amounts and will not harm... it is classed as a do not feed... due to it containing high concentrations of Oxalic acid... Just thought i would point that out in case some...

Yes my greeks are kept dry... no humid hide... i can't remember the last time i sprayed the enclosure... the soil is bone dry... I use combined UV/heat bulbs... and suppliment with a D3 suppliment when they are being fed weeds... this is due to my climate and the failure of summer in the UK...
