Ok so after reading a bunch of threads on here I’m definitely going to use the refrigerator method. I’m reading conflicting info on when to stop feeding him. Some say 4 weeks others say only 2. Also what is the best substrate to use in the hibernation box?
I definitely don’t have to worry about predators. The cage is secure and locked. But I think you’re right on being able to monitor temperature better in fridge. Outdoors who knows what might happen.

I agree. And people tried to stop it from happening but they still voted to do it. I have my inside enclosure ready to go for tonight and a nice heavy duty tarp to cover the outdoor one. My biggest concern now is all weeds. They will be ruined won’t they?

I would skip the fruit and vegetables for sure. Hermanns aren’t supposed to have any at all really. Stick to your diet of weeds and maybe add some mazuri once or twice a week. Also you really don’t need to dust with calcium and vitamins every feeding. Only a couple times a week. And I’ve never...
