Hi all!
I have a roughly 2 1/2 year old redfoot that I am planning on upgrading to a bigger and hopefully long-term enclosure. I really love the look and longevity of the PVC enclosures but know the material itself is quite expensive. For those of you that have tried building one, is it worth...
I have a juvenile redfoot tortoise that, although adorable, eats every single plant I put into his enclosure. He's super active and loves to explore, but his enclosure feels bare and I'm looking for some ideas! He has a warmer end with a uvb bulb and food dish, a humid hide in the middle, and a...
Thank you for your input! I posted photos of my redfoot's enclosure awhile back, it should suit him for at least the next few years. I also bring him outside frequently during the summer to roam.
Hey everyone! I currently own a year and a half old redfoot that I purchased from Southern Reptiles. He's thriving and I absolutely love his personality. I am looking into getting a second tortoise, but I live in an apartment and don't have space for a second giant enclosure for another year or...

I ended up discovering "cold frames" today and it will be perfect! The only problem is that they don't have a base so I'd have to make one myself. Any ideas??
Here are the two options I was thinking of
Hi everyone!
I have an approximately 9 month old redfoot and am wanting to upgrade his enclosure. He's growing like a champ and his current enclosure is getting on the small side. I am planning on going ahead and building a tortoise table but want to make sure that the climate is good for his...
Thank you for your advice! What would you recommend in place of the bark? I've seen a lot of forum members recommend it, otherwise the top layer gets too moist and can cause shell rot.
Here is the thermostat that I use. The CHE will plug directly into it and you can set the temperature to whatever you'd like his enclosure to be. Mine is at 86 degrees and he has a cooler side if he gets too hot.
