Crazy Story About A Missing MEP

My group has a fairly good size space now. I have a single pair in a enclosure of about 1500 sq ft well, plus a guest for now! At the time were just starting the build on the bigger pen and they had figured out how to bust the galvanized steel on the smaller one. But he/she has AMAZING growth...

Crazy Story About A Missing MEP

So, two years ago we had one of our infamous tortoise breakouts. Sadly at that time we didn't recover them all. BUT as of LAST NIGHT that has changed! Last night while I was showering to head out to services with the family there was a knock at the front door from our across the lake neighbors...

There is some great info on Vics Facebook Page. Thanks for pointing that @Will ! I was wondering the something wether the lack of rain in my part of Florida played a part in this years non-nest building and laying. Last year, I found smashed eggs. the last week of May. The corresponds with some...

    First Clutch of Phayrei

@Baoh , I'm not sure of the plans yet to be honest. It will depend on viability I suppose. At a minimum we probably would hold a few back and I'd love to trade for other bloodlines. We had some home school kids come over today so I finally got a chance to measure Grapes. She is 22" SCL.

    First Clutch of Phayrei

@Will also once buried are you putting the lids on the boxes? If so are you adding any airholes on the side? I'm guessing your just leaving the tops open since the eggs are buried.

    First Clutch of Phayrei

Thanks all! Will, I just sourced some Hatchrite and will pick it up tomorrow to try your suggestion. Local cyclura breeder pal has some! Have you tried it above the substrate as well? Wondering wether to try one box above and one box below. I appreciate all the input, we are so stoked. We'd...

    First Clutch of Phayrei

Hi All, Well after fifteen years of rearing and waiting we finally have our first clutch of Phayrei in the incubator. This pair came from Vic Morgan as yearlings in 2003 and we've had them ever since. It's been quite the learning curve the last 24 hours for us. Last year our female, Grapes...

    Phayrei Vocalization

I had never heard the dolphin clicking before until today. Funny thing is I went out an hour earlier with grapes and they couldn't be bothered. The moment he gets out there the one in the wallow gets out and comes right over!

    Phayrei Vocalization

Just wanted to share this video from this afternoon. More after school snacks from their best bud but what makes this really cool is you can hear some neat vocalizations. We just moved this pair into a new 1000 sq ft enclosure. So, its nice to see them getting acclimated too. Also I'm the hunt...
