Hello!
I have had Ernie for about 10 years now. The vet estimates he was between 3-5 when I first got him, so he would be about 13-15 years old. Unfortunately my husband is military and we have to move to a place that does not allow exotics, and Ernie cannot come with us. I am in Southern...
I use cactus as a "treat" when I find it at my farmer's market. I buy about 3 pads at a time, they last a few weeks, then I go a couple months before feeding them again.
Okay. Good to know. The vet wasn't specific about the number of worms, but that makes sense.
So how do you think he contracted them? I would assume it was by eating his own poop, but if he was clean, and pooping clean, how is that possible?

On a side note, I know I could find some tupperware containers, and turn them upsidedown and cut holes in the sides, but climbing up and over the round huts is one of...
Is Ernie allowed to have strawberries? He's a Russian tort, by the way. Picked myself some up at the farmers market and am wondering if I can share them with my little buddy =]
Ernie used to bite anything and everything when I first took him home. He learned now what is food, and what is not food, but he used to chase my finger around his house because he thought it was food! And he did get a hold of my finger a few times...OW
