none of the uvb n mvb lights r available in mumbai...i myself have tried many places but to no avail...so i shifted to the best source that is sunlight...u can do is get a carpenter n make an enclosure in ur balcony...then u can grow stuff in it which r tortoise safe n they will get a lovely...

The one is just in the initial stage of pyramiding n growing fast...the who is not pyramiding is growing at slow rate but is super smooth. Probably a year more then i will shift to a bigger apartment with a garden...then they gonna have a lot of space. I just wish nothing bad happens between...

hi everyone.. I have a question to ask do same conditions have varied effects on tortoises of the same species? I have two star tortoises both r approx a 11 months old. In morning to afternoon they receive direct sunlight so the overall temp is 35 to 38°c. Around 5 pm i switch on thier basking...

hey guys... I got some cuttlebones...just wanted to know how to remove the upper hard layer easily.. n my torts nvr try to eat em when thet are whole..But when i smash it into small peices they eat it.

Is he rubbing his eyes...with regard to bubbles crank up the temp in his enclosure for 2 or 3 days n observe if he has become active or not....m when i say crank up the temp it must be close to 36c....dont turn of thr light at night. Just keep his hide moist n temp closento 36. i am sure he will...

yes u can...a mix of coco coir n garden soil.

yes u can...u can also plant spider plant...or coleous aelovera..phasies n petunia...evn mint in their enclosures if u r keeping it in balconies

the base is super strong...my kiddos cant evn destroy the plants....let alone the base

That is the cuttlebone...i just broke it into small peices and spread all over. they like to smell it and eat it...they nvr touch the cuttle bone bt when i give them like this they eat it all... currently they r eating too much... 3 times a day..dat worries me a lil.
