My name is Jessica and I have been in the pet trade my whole life. My grandparents opened a pet store in the '80s right before I was born. I grew up there and practically lived there. We carried EVERYTHING. And as soon as I got internet I was on there looking up any new info on all of our critters. Pet stores have such a bad rap but they produce so many animal lovers. It closed in 2004 and since I wasnt quite old enough to get a regular job I bred rats for pets and feeders. After I got a regular job I started my own zoo at home. I had ducks, chickens, bearded dragons, tortoises, an alligator, snakes, frogs, spiders, and scorpions. You name it I loved it. I dont do furry animals as of right now. But eventually some day I'm sure I'll be talked into it. Just recently I thought I was leaving the country forever so I gave up my snakes, alligator, bearded dragons, two baby sulcatas, and about 15 tarantulas. After a very unfortunate mishap I now am not going and I'm building my brood back up. I might get another tort, still thinking about it. Definetly will have more tarantulas, will probably reach a hundred by the time I die. I will probably inherit my beardies back, as my boyfriends mom has them, within the next couple years. I have a frilled dragon and he is amazing. Might get him a mate. Maybe a few geckos, a moniter maybe. I keep my options open. I'm excited about this forum and I plan to learn everything I can.
