Hello, my name is Francis and I currently live in the Charleston, WV area. I graduated recently from Marshall University, and hope to continue on to graduate school in the Fall of next year. I'm a new tortoise owner, so I'm absolutely psyched about this tortoise forum. It's a wonderful place to talk tortoises, especially when no one else wants to listen to my tort ramblings!

I would say my favorite tortoises aesthetically are Leopard tortoises, but I'll likely never own one for myself because I don't think I'll ever live somewhere that could handle their size. I think I'll be forever happy being a single tort owner-- my Hermann's tortoise is enough of a responsibility as is!

I got my first (and only) tortoise on 9/28/2013. His name is Morgan, and for his size he has taken up a place in my heart that's 10 times as big. Love my little guy. I also have a Boston Terrier mix named Leia who I also love to bits.
