My Hermanns Zoe comes out of her hide everyday at 7:00 AM to bask and then eat. She goes in and out several times a day and finally retires for the night by 6:00 PM. She is older, about 8 months old.

I've been watching her today and she has been up on the top of her hide about 10 times, after a hearty breakfast of course. The hide log is in a corner and she will climb to the top, turn around, go back down and do it all over again. What a delightful creature!

At 6:30 this morning, before the mega-ray light was even on, Zoe came out of her hide and gave a big yawn! She gets up every day by 6:30 AM and goes to bed at 5:30 PM.

Don't know about the cabbage...Romaine lettuce is ok as well as other leafy greens. Someone should know a good list of edible greens. I don't remember where I saw it.

Sorry to hear this. I think he was ill from the beginning and this was just a natural progression of his illness. He was probably not properly taken care of and maybe past saving when you got him.....:o(. Happened to me two years ago with a redfoot.
